Your Hygienist

Corn Street Dental Practice has two excellent dental hygienists, Rita and Laura working alongside our dentists.

What Rita & Laura will do for YOU!

• A Hygienist's job is to work with you, helping you to improve your skills and habits to make sure you stay healthy, filling free and to ensure you keep your teeth for life.


• Your hygienist will first of all carry out an assessment of the health of your mouth and gums, making you aware of any areas of gum inflammation or "pocketing" you may have around your teeth.


• Once your hygienist has made an assessment she will carry out a range of professional scaling treatments which will be specific to your requirements.


• Your hygienist will also advise you on a home care routine that will make sure you maintain the work she has completed, this could include daily flossing, interdental cleaning and improving your brushing technique to be done twice a day.
